My dad was the life and soul of our family which is massive, he loved the outdoors and caravaning and camping, he was forever tormenting his grandchildren taking sweets off them and hiding them .
He also loved a good shindig with his family his parties were the best. He is terribly missed as is our mum Annie who passed on the 6th January 1988 and our brother William who passed 18th August 2006.

our da

our da was quite a man ,he was a torment to our children .when we went to his house he would hide their sweets so he could eat them when we were gone.when they were young he would put their coats on back to front and pull the hood up over their faces ,naturally they would be screaming.after they started crying he would say it was time they went home .he was the bane of their lives but we kept going back for more.he also created fun with them . these are some of the memories i have of our da.a torment of hell.but what i would give to have him back today to do it to the new generation of children we have .he is terribly missed by us all .still i suppose we will meet again some day ,[although i hope not too soon ]

The Magic Cardigan

My Granda McCracken had a magic cardigan, it was bluey/grey knitted and had big black leathery buttons with crosses on them and even though it was tattered and holey, thats what gave it magic he said. He would sit me on his knee and sweets and pennys would appear. That is my earliest memory of my Granda.

Miss you loads.

Your wee Granddaughter Anne-Marie.

xx
